If you want to know something more about VoIP you need to be familiar with terms and acronyms used on this subject:

 

IPTV  = it is a system where a digital television program is delivered by using Internet Protocol over a network infrastructure, which may include delivery by a broadband connection (find out more on Wikepedia).

Quadruple Play = it is the evolution of the "Triple Play" offer, which adds mobile telco services to a package including phone, broadband Internet and IPTV services.

SIP = Session Initiation Protocol, is an application-layer control (signaling) protocol for creating, modifying, and terminating sessions with one or more participants. These sessions include Internet telephone calls, multimedia distribution, and multimedia conferences (find out more on Wikipedia ).

Triple Play = it is a term used to indicate a bundle of fixed phone, broadband connection and IPTV services. Phone service included in the offer is usually based on VoIP.

VoIP = Voice Over IP - Voice Over Internet Protocol (find out more on Wikipedia ).
